If you don’t own a smartphone, don’t worry; you can still use Uber. The mobile website lets you book rides and use Uber’s location tracking. However, you won’t be able to receive text messages from the driver. However, you can still use the app and book rides using your phone number, Facebook, or Google account.
First, you need to have an Internet connection. If you don’t have a phone, you can use a third-party app to book your ride. Alternatively, you can call the Uber operator. However, you should have a working mobile phone to use Uber. You’ll also need to have a credit card assigned to your Uber account.
After installing the app, you need to sign up for an account. It’s free and only takes a few minutes. You’ll need a mobile number and a verified social media account to do so. Once you’ve done that, you can begin using Uber on any device. If you don’t have a smartphone, you can also use the website version of the app.
Once you have signed up, you can choose another person to ride with you. Just enter the person’s phone number and destination. Once the ride has been approved, you’ll receive a text message with the trip details. Using this method, you can monitor the progress of your ride and even pay with your credit card.
Another way to use Uber without a smartphone is with a service called Phoner. Phoner offers you unlimited phone numbers from around the world. This will prevent you from having to use another phone or SIM card. Using this service will not only allow you to communicate with Uber drivers, but it will protect your privacy.
Uber is rolling out a new in-app feature that lets you request and pay for rides for other users. This service will be available for users in the US and 30 other countries starting Tuesday. The app will also let you book rides for others using your phone. The new feature is also great for senior citizens and anyone who doesn’t have internet access.
